Back to New Orleans in May 2008

Back in December 2007 Catherine Apotheker contacted me. She donated the drum set we collected for our first trip which didn't fit in the minivan but made its way down with Bill on another trip. After telling her father about our February trip with the Feel Good Tour he asked if we could use an organ. He got it from a church and it was central in their family life as she grew up. Peter Spring was happy to hear of it knowing exactly where it was needed. It's going back to a church. Her father discussed it with all his children and they agreed it was a good idea. They sent pictures. Vinnie and I plan to bring it down at the end of May. We hope to revisit the Peace Lutheran Song Circle and see Gordon and his BioLiberty project. When I recently brought a lesson on the 'old songs' to the new crew of the good sloop Clearwater I met two young people who have been working in New Orleans. Caitlin asked us to come stay at Common Ground Relief and do some music. She wants us to do a Clearwater program there too.
