October 14 Sunday Beacon Sloop Club Pumpkin Festival noon-dusk

Noon – 12:30 our set on the Children’s Stage
MC all day at the children’s stage
4:00 children’s stage finale hosts 

Free sails on the sloop Woody Guthrie, pumpkins and pumpkin pie, free stone soup, two stages, children’s activity area, vendors and exhibits. The festival will be in the waterfront park, but it’s rain or shine so it could be inside the sloop club building or the little park under certain conditions. Find the Beacon Metro North Train Station and cross over to the riverside. Dress Warm!

The lineup at the children’s stage is great – puppets, stories, music near the playground. Mel and Vinnie, Bindlestick Bill, Lydia Adams Davis, maybe Jonathan Kruk, Karen and Melissa, Rick Nestler, The Rivertown Kids at 3, Pete Seeger at 3:30 and a 4 pm finale. 

So long to NY summers! We’ll be in Lake Worth, FL for the winter the following weekend!!

Last month Music Folk won BEST at L-Dub film festival in Lake Worth.  It’s a documentary by James Venable about the making of the Phil Ochs concert we were part of last February.
